After 6 months of hard work (and a few unlucky, unintended delays), we are very excited to announce the launch of (my)cards version 2.0. We’re also introducing our redesigned branding (the marketing team absolutely knocked this out of the park) and a whole new product. We don't do things half-baked at ignis.

When we first launched the (my)cards app (then "Store (my) Cards") to iOS users in late 2024, I had no idea what to expect.
We hadn't planned an Android version. It was meant to be something created for myself and perhaps a few other users. Then, it started getting a bit of traction on Twitter (X), Brent wrote a feature about the app on Good Things Guy. A year later, we announced the acquisition by Glynt, along with a feature in The Open Letter.
We didn't think we would ever get to a thousand users, let alone today where we have almost 50 000 active users on our platform. Thank you to every single one of you. Even those of you that uninstalled, or left negative reviews: Thank you.
Version 2 is our biggest update yet. We rebuilt the foundation for the future of the (my)cards ecosystem, making the app faster and more reliable. We've also put in a lot of effort to get the underlying infrastructure and apps ready for what we have planned for the next 6 months and beyond. Expect more frequent updates as we launch new features and improvements. We've only just really begun.
Over the last 6 months, we've taken every bit of feedback (good or bad), read every review (yes, even the 1-star ones), every email and text, and looked deeply into the behavioural data, both on device, and in-store.
Thank you to every single person who has downloaded the app, paid for a subscription or sent in feedback. We've blushed at your compliments, seen and heard your pain points, considered every feature request, and spent countless hours in retail stores across the country, monitoring how users interact with our app (as well as our competitors) and where retailers are getting digital loyalty wrong.
Most importantly, though, we heard you. Paying for a digital wallet is not what most users want. Going forward every user gets the following 100% free:
- Unlimited cards, whether preloaded or customised.
- Built-in support for (my)loyalty digital loyalty cards.
- Biometric locks on cards (your points are yours, you want to keep them safe).
- Secure cloud backup and sync
- Cross-device synchronisation
The Premium subscription is available for people who want a few extra enhancements and additional convenience.
The core (my)cards experience remains and will remain completely free.
If you purchased the once-off premium option in the early versions of the app, we've locked in those features for life, along with all the new features above. Keep an eye on your inbox once you’ve upgraded to version 2. We’re giving our legacy premium users one free month subscription, on us.
For our loyal paid Premium users, for less than the cost of one cup of coffee per month from your favourite coffee shop, you get everything in the free version of the app, along with:
- The (my)cards Quick Launch home-screen widgets, with support coming in 2.1 for lock-screen widgets.
- Favourites, sorting, and card nicknames.
- Eligibility to enter competitions, join retailer partnerships and earn in-store discounts only accessible to (my)cards premium subscribers.
- Access to new features before we roll them to the rest of our users.
